Angel Food Ministries - Blessings by the Box

We are proud to partner with Angel Food Ministries, a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to communities throughout the country. This ministry crosses denominational lines and is a blessing to many.

Everyone is encouraged to participate! There are no qualifications, minimums, income restrictions, or applications. Angel Food Ministries also participates in the U.S. Food Stamp program using the Off-Line Food Stamp Voucher system.

For $30, people can purchase a unit of food consisting of both fresh and frozen items typically costing about $60 at the grocery store. This unit generally helps feed a family of four for about one week. All food is of high quality with no second-hand, damaged or out-of-date goods.

Specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and vegetables are also offered for an additional cost. There is no limit to the number of units an individual may purchase.

Food is ordered by a deadline each month and is available for pickup on a designated Saturday. (These dates can be found below or on the Angel Food Ministries website at www.angelfoodministries.com).

On distribution day, we encourage participants to bring a container large enough to hold your complete food order (large laundry baskets or coolers work well). Food pick up will take place between the hours of 8 and 11 a.m. Please be aware that if you do not pick up your food, we do not have the space to store the “leftovers”; therefore, all unclaimed food will go to a local charity. Remember, all orders are prepaid by the order deadline date.

You may place an order by coming by the church office between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  (The office is closed on Friday.)  You may also place your order online through the Angel Food website. You must prepay for your order. If you come in person to the church office, you may pay with cash, check, money order or food stamps (EBT).

Deadlines for ordering at the church (and with food stamps) are: August 16, September 13, October 18, November 8, and December 6.

Deadlines for ordering online are:  August 22, September 19, October 24, November 11, and December 9. 

Food distribution dates are:  August 28, September 25, October 30, November 20, and December 18.
