John Ed Mathison, former senior pastor of the Frazer Memorial UMC in Montgomery, Alabama, tells about how he once attended an awards banquet for the "Dixie Youth Baseball League."  The climax of the event came when the awards were given to the all-star players from each team.

A large crowd and many important people were in attendance:  The mayor of Montgomery, the city commissioners, and the state president of Dixie Youth.  Also attending were the young people on the teams, their parents, their coaches, and their sponsors.  When the first name was called out for the boy to come forward to receive his award, the large crowd applauded appreciatively.  However, the boy did not come forward.  The Master of Ceremonies asked if the boy was present and several responded that he was.  His name was called a second time.  Finally, after a brief silence, a voice from the back of the room sheepishly said, "He's gone to the bathroom."  Think of it ~ his BIG MOMENT and he was in the BATHROOM!

I wonder how often God calls our name for some reason ~and there is no answer.  Maybe there is something God wants us to do or something that God wants to teach us or show us ~and we are "unavailable".  How many times in life have "big moments" come to us and we were "in the bathroom."

Be ready:  God may be announcing YOU for a special team at any time!
