Community Reconciliation Ministry (CRM)

CRM is a peacemaking ministry of Community United Methodist Church. This means that as a church, we strive to live out the gospel in all of our relationships. The gospel lived out works with a spouse, children, neighbors, friends, relatives, coworkers and even strangers. As a church, we hope that Jesus Christ is revealed through our love shown to others. Practicing the principles of peacemaking has saved many marriages, friendships and families. This is what makes us different. We'd love to help you learn to live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ in your relationships, too.

A Summary of the Peacemaking Approach: The Four G's

When we offend someone or are offended, we strive to follow the "four G's." Firstly, we seek to glorify God. Secondly, we get the log out of our own eye, or in other words, we look for how we have added to the conflict. Thirdly, we gently restore, with genuine forgiveness, those who have offended us. Finally, we "go and be reconciled" by re-engaging fully in the relationship. It's not quick; it's not easy, but this approach is effective because it is based on the gospel truth.
