Children's Ministry

"Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it."  Proverbs 22:6

God calls the church a family and here at Community UMC we welcome you as part of our family. Our goal is to partner with your family and live a life boldly in Christ. It is our prayer Community UMC will be a spiritual home for your family to be strengthen together in God’s truths. Each week, we want every child and student who comes through our doors to experience four things: life-changing relationships, age-appropriate and safe environments, creative Bible teaching, and fun. All Community Kids and Little Ones leaders are screened and follow our Child Protection Policies.

Little Ones: Every week we provide for our Little Ones (infants through Pre-Kindergarten) a loving, safe environment where they begin to hear, learn and experience the love of Christ. Babies and toddlers will be held, fed, diapered, played with and loved upon. All nursery classes are divided by age and development. Each nursery class experiences the Bible as God’s word, story times, crafts, and snacks.

Community Kids: Here students (K-5th grades) will experience a creative, exciting, safe, and loving environment during Sunday School and Worship time. It is our prayer and mission that the Lord uses this time to help your children go deeper into God’s word, grow in the gospel of Christ, and then be able to share the joy and love they have received from God with others. Community kids are introduced to the Bible as one complete story about God’s love and redemption through Jesus Christ. Students will engage in worship, Bible memorization and creative storytelling, small group discussion, activities, snacks, and prayers.

In addition to our weekly Sunday morning activities, we offer additional opportunities for our Community Kids and Families through the year, including Community Kid’s Choir, Vacation Bible School, Community Food Trucks, and MORE!  To see a listing of upcoming activities please click on EVENTS for the church calendar. It is our hope and prayer that you come as visitor but leave as a member of our family at Community UMC.
