Job Description- Director of Children’s Ministry
 
Employment Classification: Part Time / Salary / Exempt
Position Reports To:  Senior Pastor

Job Summary/Purpose: 
  • Develops and coordinates the mission, vision, and goals of the Children and Family Ministry of Community Church.
 
Required Skills/Qualifications: 
  • Experience working with children and a working knowledge of Biblical themes
  • Patience and flexibility
  • Detail orientation, ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Public speaking
  • Computer and multi-media skills
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides spiritual direction and ministry to children and their families.
  • Directs the Children’s Ministry (grades K – 5) including Sunday School, Children's Church, Vacation Bible School, etc.
  • Oversees the Nursery Ministry (infants- preschoolers)
  • Plays a lead role in the coordination of outreach ministry events and activities targeting families with children.
  • Recruits and equips volunteers to serve in Children’s Ministry
  • Provides annual training on CMC’s Ministry Safe Protection Policies
 
Physical Demands of Position: 
  • Talking, lifting, walking, standing, reading, writing and typing
