- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and to the daily habits of a disciple of Jesus Christ (i.e. - prayer, scripture study, giving, serving others), and
- An active participation in the life of this congregation, Community Methodist Church.
- Develops and coordinates the mission, vision, and goals of the Children and Family Ministry of Community Church.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience working with children and a working knowledge of Biblical themes
- Patience and flexibility
- Detail orientation, ability to multitask and prioritize
- Public speaking
- Computer and multi-media skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides spiritual direction and ministry to children and their families.
- Directs the Children’s Ministry (grades K – 5) including Sunday School, Children's Church, Vacation Bible School, etc.
- Oversees the Nursery Ministry (infants- preschoolers)
- Plays a lead role in the coordination of outreach ministry events and activities targeting families with children.
- Recruits and equips volunteers to serve in Children’s Ministry
- Provides annual training on CMC’s Ministry Safe Protection Policies
