Worship Ministry

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!

Psalm 150:6

Each week we come together to celebrate God's eternal love extended to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. We sing and play our instruments to God, praising Him for changing our lives with His saving grace. Our goal as a team of committed worship leaders is to KNOW Christ and make Him KNOWN through our worship and service. We humbly accept the role of leading others into His Holy Presence where we may connect with Him and be changed by Him.

Our vision is to enable the active participation of the congregation at CUMC by inspiring those assembled to worship. We recognize that music was not designed for the glory of humanity, but for the reflective beauty of the glory of God. We desire to be mirrors of God’s glory - using our voices, hearts, and instruments to lead people closer to God.

Voices of Victory Choir

We are ordinary people with varying degrees of talent and training.  When you come to choir, you don’t just bring your voice. Your spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, and experience make our choir a unique body. The level of musical training may vary widely, but the passion and desire is the same for all. Our goal is to know God and to make Him known!

Praise Team

This small ensemble of singers from the ranks of the Voices of Victory Choir use their talents as a vehicle for bringing people into God's presence in worship through inspiring, dynamic music - embracing our tremendous heritage of great hymns and incorporating the contemporary music of today. Involvement is on a weekly rotation.

Band

Members of this group come from many walks of life – teachers, students, retirees, dental techs, band directors, TV producers, physical therapists, etc. We gather each Sunday morning to share and lead in worship. Experienced players sit next to younger players and help foster the development of God-given talents. A certain degree of proficiency is needed to be a part of this group.

Singing Seniors

The Singing Seniors offer a dynamic opportunity to be involved in music, ministry and missions. Their calendar typically runs September through May. Membership is open to older adults who are interested in being part of a fun, loving and energetic family of worship leaders and musicians. No audition is necessary and no formal musical experience is required.
